Title: Bar Position
Post by: Chappers on Saturday, 08 April 2023, 12:05 AM
Got standard bars at the moment, could do with them being 2 inches higher and 2 inches further back towards me. Anyone got any bar or riser suggestions please, preferably without having to replace any cables if possible.
cheers guys

I have (approx) 2" risers on mine, I found the cable lengths were ok, but the brake & clutch lines were just too tight for my liking, so I put on Stainless lines (all round) that were made 2" longer than standard.

Can't remember, but think the price was no different to std length lines.  Got them from Hell in the UK, they let you choose your colour of lines & fittings, they make them specifically as you want them. Never had problems with them, after getting them bled first time, which is fun . . .

There's a Hell brake lines guy near us in Brisbane. I ordered Blue coloured lines & titanium fittings price and 3 days later they arrived in the post.

I have 30mm up and 25mm back (I think that's what they are) and I needed a new brake line as it was too tight. While I was at it I replaced the rear brake and clutch lines at the same time. I got the risers off ebay and they definitely make a difference to the position/feel of the bars.

Well, I'm glad you clarified Bar Position, I was going to say usually on the floor, by the chair, lying near vomit in a puddle of my own urine...if it was a good night!
