Title: bush for shock

after fixing the rear shocks with help from the forum, ive found one more fault on my rear shocks ,,the left rear shock where it fits to the swing arm the bush has play in it up and down and left and right (worn out ) ive searched on line but cant find any robinson foundery parts list number 12 shows a spacer but does not look like its the rubber bit as well also out of stock .any buddy no where I can get the bush I need thanks

I'd try calling Robinsons Foundry or Robinsons of Rochdale..Both very good with Suzuki spares :onya:

give them a phone Robinsons foundry have been very helpfull in the past and give 10% discount
robinsons in rochdale give 15%off

up date on the shock mounting bush after speaking to robinson foundery etc the bush that the bolt goes throw that holds it to the swing arm is not available was told you only get that bush with new shocks grr grr every cheap shock ive ever had its been a changeable part its just a rubber with a bush throw it .waste of a good pair of shocks right con . looks like a pair of cheap hagon standartd shocks of ebay for 150 bucks just old type shocks

Do it yourself this bush. It is no problem on lathe....

So take it to someone who have lathe....much cheaper than new shocks. And in my opinion are tge oem better than aftermarkets...

Mark, take off the other shock and measure up the bush, then get yourself down B&Q - they sell hollow aluminium rod in different sizes, get yourself a length of that - about £1.50 - and cut yourself a new bush, dead easy, dead cheap and works. You may have to drill it out slightly, but that's an easy job.

Sorted the bush i ended up not making,one .i whent to a bike parts shop where they keep bearing bushes etc and they matched it up with another make same size so i now have nice shocks fully working and they still,look new

Hey everyone this is my first post, but have being doing some reading when i saw this post I knew I to post.
Anyway i had to replace my bottom shock bushes and found that the top shock bushes from the Yamaha XJR1200 fit perfectly. hopefully i can do the same with the top bushes as well.
