First and last time forever. No wonder i look at bike stuff, cartoons etc. Death and gloom is the news. Amazes me how some watch it every night.
I like to see the news once a day to keep up with what's going on around the world, but you're spot on when you say it's all doom and gloom.
Mrs F hates watching it for that very same reason.
The upside to NZ news at the moment is that our smiling dictator has fallen on her sword so we don't have to listen to her propaganda any longer. The TV will be feeling a lot safer. I wholeheartedly agree with Grog. Our news is full of violence, lawlessness and social divide with a sprinkling of reducing our speed limits in a vain attempt to get our road toll to zero. Of course the taxing of the population because we are very naughty and drive diesel utes while the cows fart and ruin the climate. Politicians telling us they are fully focused on addressing these issues while surrounded by their supporters nodding faithfully, we continue to see no change. The destruction of the Ukraine is so sad to see, seems to me mankind has learned nothing from earlier conflicts.
The visual reporting of news shows the close up graphic side of life, the wording carefully tailored to suit their narrative.
Ooops I'm ranting, sorry. But at least you won't have to watch the news now.
Ditto on the above for us in Canknuckle Land! Especially all this woke shite!
It's not called the propaganda machine for nothing. Before that there was the radio but they hadn't mastered the art yet with radio.
With all the evidence of political interference in the media it's wise to take most of what you see or hear from mainstream media with a grain of salt 🧂 & lemon 🍋 plus a good shot of tequila 🤩🤩🤩
Then nothing is a problem 😝😝😝

When they showed Cinda as a rat leaving a sinking ship I didn't realise she'd had a premonition of the floods you've suffered in Auckland 🤫🤫🤫
:rofl2:
Bit wet here too kingi. We are lucky not to get anyone else's water runoff but the ground sure is soggy.
As for our former dictator. She bailed due to her governments policy of being "Open and Transparent" took a few years for folk to see she was full of bullshit, said lots , did sweet FA. Her deputy prime minister has decided not to stand as an electorate MP and be on the list. That way when Labour don't get re-elected he can scurry away too. They will be leaving NZ an additional $50b in the hole. Cartoon is bang on.
I'm wondering what % of GDP that is ?
Compare US debt ceiling at 32 Trillion to GDP I think they're technically bankrupt as a nation so unless the debt is forgiven the next four generations will be paying it off FFS 🤦♂️
Batton down the hatches NZ cyclone headed your way 🌪️🌪️🌪️🌬️🌬️🌬️☔️☔️☔️⛈️⛈️⛈️

No unfortunately the horse died when building collapsed 😱😱⚰️⚰️
We are only just seeing the worst of it as some areas have only just been accessed. Poor buggers have lost everything. They have arrested five looters. Should have held their heads under for a few minutes, to help them see if they had missed anything :whistling:
