You must have mixed feelings - dangerous yet wonderfull...

All we get is a couple of foxes and the odd badger.

I'm not sure if I'd swap with you or not.

My Eastern Browns aren't the most venomous, but they're pretty common around here and aren't afraid to have a go.

One neighbour has had a dog killed and another neighbour got hers to the vet in time to save it.

Eastern Browns 2nd most venomous in the world Tony. Come second to Taipan in venom and speed, not by much. Can do 20 kph, ive seen one at top speed, mostly up off the ground just striking. They scare me.

Yeah,if you go through the list of AU fatalities the EB is very common. Not just the level of venom but the fact there's plenty of them and they aren't shy about having a go.  Not unusual to see them here.

Of the large number of snakes I've come across at work and home, and everything from various spiders and scorpions etc, the two that have scared me most were Roo's that decided to play hopscotch in front of my bikes. Frightened me more than snakes.  I've had snakes in man holes, under Portaloo's etc but meeting a Roo at high speed is my fear.

Na Seth - They just like dumping (scat) on our basketball court out the back, especially when the apples are out. I have pocked it about to see if there are any bells in it! So far none!!
