Title: Shake Rattle and Roll
Post by: Kiwifruit on Wednesday, 04 January 2023, 03:24 AM
Twenty minutes ago we woke to a strong 5.1 magnitude earthquake followed shortly after by a couple of 2.7 aftershocks. Centered close to Te Aroha at a depth of 7kms. Pretty spooky feeling as everything rattles and sways.
We went for a ride on the 28th over the Kaimai's before turning onto the Old Te Aroha Road. Had a nice lunch there. About 40kms as the crow flies.
I shall finish my coffee and head back to bed.
Shaken not stirred.

Sorry Kiwifruit, not enough bullshit in that post, let me help.
So I fitted a new exhaust to the 1400 and cranked it to life resulting in a 5.1 magnitude earthquake. A couple of short revs on the throttle and it spat out a couple of 2.7 earthquakes whereupon I determined for the sake of the neighbourhood and humanity to return to a more sedate and public friendly exhaust device.

Quite right Bat0ty....... after the earthquake l had to have another couple of rat tests and three more boosters so l don't  get the China virus. We have a religious zealot here who believes  the earthquakes are God's way of punishing homosexuals. Must be an injection for that too.
Makes you loud exhaust sound quite tame when we are on the brink of extinction !!
How did that go.
True bit. The birds went silent then nuts, animals know but we don't when earthquakes are coming.

Felt nothing down here in the Horowhenua , (don't want to either,)

Got out for a fang Tuesday ,my usual ride to Pahiatua.  About 80kms each way from here.
Out by 0800 and back before midday and the 27 degrees.
Too hot in the full leather suit , but I like feeling comfortable with armour ??

Must take a few pics next time, those Windmills on the hills are huge when you are getting up close.
