Stan
Yes please
And me but at 6' 3" what the hell am I going to tuck into :whatever: and what is 400k in proper speeds anyway :)
248.548mph :boogie:
Oh, is that all :whistling:
Beautiful bike, stunning speed. Yeah, I 'd have a go but would have chickened out halfway across the ridge.
(mind you, he didn't half go on about it afterwards, I probably wouldn't have bothered mentioning it to anyone) :smile2:
Yeah that's only twice what I've done on the 1400, two up with luggage.....
and the point of doing that is...............??????
.. because he can !
Barmy... I'm with you mate..... completely insane! Seems we continue to push all the boundaries to go faster and further than ever before... what does it brings us? In my opinion anyone can drive fast in a straight line by whatever method. Would we have been impressed if his bike had been rocket powered? Naaaah I don't think so...
im sure the riders got riding skills way beyond mine.... and guess what... I don't care. I'm perfectly happy bi,bling about doing my own thing like many many other I would imagine.
Climbs down of soapbox and takes a breath :whistling:
and yet how is this pursuit of speed as the 'end' ultimately different to that of Bert Munro, who in other threads most of us seem to admire?
Sure the means are very different (DIY legend vs hop on a factory bike) but the AIM is still for one person to go as fast as they possibly can....
That aside, can you imagine after doing 400kph how when you slowed down to 100kph it would feel like you were slow enough you could just step off.... !!!
