Most of those are the best things on the plate!

You can keep the fish though, especially if they've still got eyes.

I LOVE mushy peas, with a pie as noted BUT there are ALWAYS better options to those other things.
In some cases the better option is starvation.

We ate dog in mainland China it was delicious 😋 never knock anything until you've tried it is my motto 🤢🤢🤢
Tarantulas & loads of insects through out Asia. Peasant food is usually the tastiest although I never ask the ingredients 🥴🥴🥴

On a menu in Shanghai 'deep fried bullfrog with chilli' we passed on that little delicacy.
Walking down a road in Shanghai when the missus sees all these dogs in the window of a shop..... oh thats just disgusting she says. I point out darling it's a pet shop.

I hate the taste of the tap water in my area so by default I add Robinsons barley water to it..
Most of the crap on the menu I wouldn't touch..
I love scotch Eggs though and mushy peas..Except the Mushy peas they used to serve up at School.. They literally made me Gip!
Rock hard bits in them!

I was trying explain to my (Aussie) wife about Chip shop curry sauce.

She wanted to know what sort of curry it was? korma? Masala? etc.

I explained.... naaaa... it's just "curry".

Excellent with chips though.

Having had Pie Floaters, Dagwood Dogs, Kangaroo and Crocodile meat, Flake (shark) and quite a bit of other Australian food along with some very questionable pie's I'm not sure Australia is always a gourmet delight either!  ;)

Good fresh food out here, fruit, prawns etc. better than the UK.

Waaaay better range of processed food in the UK.

Much better curry's / Balti's in the UK.

Love country pub meals in AU. Quality, huge and affordable.

Both countries good and bad, pick the bits you like.
