Makes her the shortest serving PM in the UK's history.
Also makes her the iceberg lady (rather than the Iron Lady).
QuoteLONDON — The question was all over British social media. Who would survive longer: the United Kingdom's prime minister, Liz Truss, or a wilting head of lettuce with a shelf life of just 10 days? By Thursday at lunch time, Britain had its answer. It was the lettuce.

What I don't understand is - due to an apparent retard shortage over there, there is talk of bringing an old retard (Boris) back :jack:
Whilst it's easy to criticise the USA and UK's leaders, I'm not sure the last few AU ones have been that great either.
This was still interesting, not bad for 44 days in the job....

Oh that's all true - filth at re filth everywhere. But the UK can no longer accuse us of having a revolving door PM arrangement.
Leaders are hard to find, politicians are a dime a dozen.
So glad im not interested in politics.
Took them 54 days to elect, & she lasted 45 days...
.
We don't have a lot to choose from, they are all self serving arsehole who only care about themselves, they are not qualified for the posts they take up and then they have the cheek to tell us how to live. Whoever gets in next it's just another flavour of arsehole, we are truly fucked.
The news here mentioned Bojo is making another tilt at it . . .

Indeed its been mentioned - but I sincerely hope not, if he does and he gets put back in, it will make our current politics even more farcical.
Bloody shambles the whole thing :furious:

Exactly why Liz Truss ever got in, she was not the strongest candidate in reality but the most inexperienced scapegoat to make Borris look good (I said it from day one of the process to elect a new PM) to be fair to him he was dealt a crap hand from the previous monkey! I suppose he did get Brexit sorted (in my opinion the wrong thing for the UK to do, since we have lost our ability to be self supported as a country) to some degree, and fair play he had Covid to deal with for two years which was something that no one could have seen coming and got fired not for his policies but for his party's during Covid!!
Now I don't really do politics, however my opinion and view is that the PM is in control of one very big business being the country, so should therefore bring with him/her evidence of successful business management and know how to make money, for example a Richard Branson/Allan Sugar type person and not someone with a degree in classical languages such as Borris!!
Wow that feels better, rant over
By the people, for the people, majority rules.
In my view time for a complete reshuffle and open the polls. Encumbent politicians and recent past leaders who, say, held the office in the past 4 years are not eligible. Sort the wheat from the chaff through regional elections.

I'd care more if they weren't all as useless, corrupt, pandering it to the woke or incompetent as each other. I genuinely didn't care who got in at our last election, it's not like there's a choice between Black and White, just different shades of grey.
F@ck 'em all. Just make the most of whichever clowns are in the ring this month.
Meanwhile....

BoJo dropped out yesterday, so it looks like it's going to be Sunak as the new PM. Lets see if he fares any better/makes less cock up's than Truss did
My knowledge of UK politics is limited to the fact that Risky Snack's Mrs looks quite nice !
She's incredibly rich in her own right too.

Yes, from a very wealthy family. The little I do know includes she was keeping a lot of assets registered outside of the UK for tax (avoidance) reasons. She changed this a while back and now pays UK tax, it was said back then that this was expensive for her but was going to be a real thorn in her husbands political career if she hadn't.
Sounds about right aye.

richer than the personal wealth of the King apparently...
Curries, papadams and Royal Enfields, your new staples. Kohli for King.
He might be a nice chap, but I can't anyone seriously who cannot afford trousers that go all the way. Looks like he's off to a funeral with his strides at half mast.
Always good to have people in government to know what financial struggle is. I mean he's only got a safety net worth Billions, so he's on that bleeding edge.

I've just had a look at the rota, it seems I'm going to be PM from mid-March to the end of April next year.
