How do you find the Ignition key number ? (2008 K7)
I ask because I looked hi and low for my key today..
I even checked the bins!!
Yes I have a spare but NO numbers printed on it nor in the front of the owners book!!

In the end the key had somehow fallen out of the pocked in my Bike Kecks (Kecks = Trousers) and gone inside the right leg !!
Took me 2 hours of looking.. I had actually given up and started to phone dealerships for a quote for a replacement key.. They asked if I had the number of the key..

So back to the original question..
How do I find the number of the Ignition key?

Just checked Simon - not on the key, not in the service book that came with bike - is it stored against the frame/engine details at the dealers?  :bugga:

@ speedy 1959 I have a k7 also and the key number is not on the frame or is it part of the vin. I just checked mine to be sure . Normally you receive two keys and the key number is on a little metal tag that comes with them , I don't suppose you have it do you ?. Luckily for me the dealer included the key number in my service book , which reminds me I must go to my local key cutter as he was gonna do a second key for me once he receives the right casing as he's able to program it for me.

You are correct..
The tiny tab is still connected but GOD is the printing small and faint.
With the aid of my magnifying reading glasses AND a magnifying glass I could just about decypher it.
