Hi all,
I recently had blown fuses that supply the Fuel Pump and injectors..
The one that kept blowing was a 10 amp.
It only blew when the ignition was initially turned on, and NEVER whilst out riding.
I looked in the workshop manual via this forum and it reckons it should be a 15amp
I have actually fitted a 15 amp and its been fine ever since.
Could any of you take a peek and verify the rating of the "FUEL" fuse please..

Speedy, fuse is 10 amp. A standard test we do is measure pump amps on cars, around 6 is max. If over, theres a blockage, resistance in circuit or just no good pump. Its just a diagnostic test that helps find the problem. Mitsubishi pumps rarely fail, id say your high pressure filter is struggling.

I am surprised if the filter is clogged with only 8,600 miles..
When the fuse blew it was as aoon as I turned the key on..
Not on a run...
She seems to accelerate just fine, and has no "loss of urgency" in the higher revs.

As soon as you switch the ignition on, the pump primes and pressurises the injector rail, hence it blows the fuse
It may be low mileage but that may contribute to the problem if crap has solidified in the pump during long periods of non use.
I would really recommend strip & clean the pump then replace the 10amp fuse

Do the hp filter mod and fit the bypass filter as well. Cost me $A48.20 including the billet filter, efi hose and clamps, fitment is about 20 min. I also (previously) replaced the hp pump with the Quantum unit, the original Mitsubishi pump is still in a box on the shelf, probably still ok.
I use 20A fuse... 15A was a bit too small.. in my case :stir:
I wonder why T24, how many BHP you have? Lots. 👍😂👍
Maximum fuel pressure is over 6 bar on maximum boost.
BHP? I don't Know, I haven't been in dyno after 2016... But 200+ hp, I guess...

as my oem pump was noisy. Cleaned teabag etc, no difference. Didn't know or pay attention to the hp filter mod at the time, plus the new pump primed and ran the bike well.
It was only recently that I could start to hear the pump whilst riding, it was whining a lot. Cleaned teabag filter again, nut no change. The light went on in my head after reading on here that this is an indicator that the hp filter is finally blocked enough so that the pressure relief operates. This is why I then did the mod, no more noisy pump.
That's when I heard the noises from the front and now I'm rebuilding the front calipers....
I'm deaf as, I don't hear shit all!
