Title: Fork Oil Change
Post by: grog on Friday, 30 September 2022, 06:56 PM
Today called into place who did my fork mod a while back. No leaks, no need for anything else was told. Remove and drain, compress forks, fill with 10 weight Motul oil to 125mm from top. Job done. No pushing for them to do, just instructions on how to do, cant complain with that service. Was amazing difference when first done, Wilbers progressive springs were fitted, all adjustments done, never changed since.  :smitten:

Is there any indication your fork oil needs replacing or is it just done regularly ? :whatever:

Chris, its oil, it gets contaminated, like oil in any machine. Just change when i feel it needs it. Im very fussy on motor oil changes, clean is good. IMO

I find the front feels soft and less trustworthy with knackered oil.

I used to do it annually, but then I do more miles than most
