I understand a crankcase breather isn't necessary on the 14 but does this blank the pairs off ?

No, thats the replacement cover for the crank case breather just below the cam chain tensioner.

This is the PAIR blanking kit...

Crankcase breathers are needed, but the standard one is perfectly fine.

Standard is perfectly fine except :) When blocking off PAIRS hose to try, Someone blocks off breather hose by mistake. Ask me how i Know.  :rofl2: You have never seen so much smoke after 5ks. You cant strangle a 14 even if you try, i tried.  :embarrassed:
