As you may know the bike I am getting on Sunday is a late model (2008)
a couple of questions:
1. Would the original 4 into 1 have had a CAT fitted back then?
2. A previous owner has converted the bike back to a OEM 4 into 2 system (Which is what attracted me to this bike)..
Am I correct in thinking the replaced 4 into 2 system will NOT have a CAT?
If the answer to question 1 is Yes, then is there likely to be an issue now it has the earlier system fitted (That I am assuming does NOT have a CAT)
My question has come about because I am likely to do the PAIR valve removal.. Someone mentioned on that thread about PAIR removal knackering Cats etc..
That made me laterally think about if my bike would ever have had a CAT..
I am rambling on now.....
S.
No Cat fitted in any GSX Si.
No cats.
None had a cat .
But the yoshi can fitted to later bikes does have catalizer or something on the badge I think that's because it's compatible with a bike that does have one .
The 14 (All years) doesn't and the pairs system is fitted to help reduce bad exhaust gasses.
I have a cat but he doesn't like the noise of the Akrapovic when I start it up.

My Kawasaki Meanstreak had Vance & Hines on with no baffles - that woke the cat and he had been dead for 10 years - it also woke all my neighbours when I left for work at 06.30 - had to start using the car as sooo many complaints :bugga:
Given how often cats are stolen is some places the much easier accessibility on a bike would I imagine mean they wouldn't last long anyway.
Oh and...
Don't know what a catalysed is can't be arsed asking google but here's my zorst.
