Title: Froudy's shed
Post by: Notty on Thursday, 11 August 2022, 07:52 PM
After many years of secretly stashing 1400 bits in Froudy's shed the last items have been removed. seat and Yoshimura exhaust were sold last year.
Forgot what I had left  :)

Early LH pilly peg hanger, unicorn teeth!

K5 onwards clock cases & don't think the rest matter year wise.

I've still got the lh rear peg with exhaust hanger on, despite having only a single sided Akrapovic exhaust on my K3.  One time I thought about grinding that eyelet off, but then thought better of it....

Too bad you are far away I'd like to have those spares on the shelf.

Me too !

As I said, I'm looking to break a few bikes and both feed my own Suzuki obsession and supply a few spares at less than the going rate.  I've picking up GSX750 / 1100ET and EX, Bandit and Busa bits, even early GSXR, but not seeing much 14 stuff.

I might go back to the auctions but previously I got disheartened there. My Bandit and 14 were both rideable when I got them, but at the Brissy auctions mangled wrecks on a pallet were going for similar money.   :confused1:

Mate from past has gsx1100E, LC Yamaha. Both wasting away in shed. Has had both from new. What a waste. Ive ridden both 40 yrs ago, totally stock, wont sell. So annoying. That gsx was so much faster than my GS1000, had a few runs.

Same here. So now I let it gain patina to annoy those looking for one. Besides I need it if I ever refit the givi

Yeah, my start date starts at around 1980 with the 16v 750 and 1100ET's. I love the big boxy brute look, square headlights, 16v motor,  I just never got the same feeling from the GS750 and 1000's.  The older GS's were good, but they were up against stuff like the Z650, 900's and a few others. When the GSX's came along Suzuki really began their timeline of dominant, tough, tuneable engines.

Not a problem at all @Notty
It was always a good excuse to have a natter and catch up when you popped in to retrieve bits from the stash :imrgreen: :onya:

Most of my GSX1400 bits have gone now. I need to sort out loads of other bike related stuff I still have and no longer need though. My Abba Superbike stand for one definitely needs to find a new home.

"EDIT"
Abba stand moving to Cardiff. Thanks @Notty  :onya:
