Went out for a ride yesterday and ended up in Gloucester so I thought I would visit Frasers bike shop. While looking through their second hand bikes I saw an old H2 in superb condition with a for sale sticker on it. Thought I'll have a look at that, always fancied one but it was priced at £17K. After I picked myself up I read a bit of the blurb and they are claiming it's a genuine original bike with only 3700 miles on it. Bike was nice but £17k is a bit too much for me to pay for a bike from 1974.
Nice looking bike though Mick - you can afford it !!
A local lad here who trades a few bikes had a similar one. He listed it as being possibly the most original in the country. It was similar money, although it did come with both stock and Denco pipes and a heap of paperwork.
Similar money. Kats, Z900's etc are all up there now.
Plenty of modded ones or restorations but original ones are where the money is.
I wouldn't give £17 for it, ugly awful sounding heaps.
Whilst I can appreciate an original or restored old classic of any era, really I've never understood the values people arrive at on them.
Quite honestly if I had that amount of money spare I wouldn't buy an old vehicle 🙀
Just my two cents worth 🙏
I'm in a classic club over here, 2 a penny, I'm sick looking at them.

Didn't know Katanas had auto transmission....
Explains the price, it must be unique
$34 k, is that really its price? Ridiculous.
I should have kept my 1100S sold it for $6500 AUD. I still have some good spares for it so maybe I will get the same for them.

Aircooled GSX750 and 1100 spares and parts are holding strong money.
I've bought a few bits over the last 18 months, tank, seat, wheels, rear peg hangers, a frame etc etc, mostly ET and EX stuff but I watch for all the bigger chain drive models.
There's noticeably less parts than a while back and noticeably higher prices too.
Kat stuffs always been desirable, then ET / EX and 1135E bits caught up. Now I'm seeing the same for what was previously unfashionable ESD, EZ type bikes.
A regular search on EBay, Facebook, Gumtree rarely ever finds the bargains it did a while back.
I do like the older ET / EX's, they have a big blunt shape to them and great motors, a little bit like a GSX14 if you squint sideways with one eye in a dark room...
