Hi from Hervey Bay in Queensland Australia. I used to be on the old forum but it's been quite a few years since I last owned a 1400. I have just bought another and now waiting for it to arrive from the other side of Australia. It's a 2008 model with only 38000 klms. I have previously owned 2 other 1400's. My first one was the same model as I've just bought. The 2nd was an early model silver. I did quite a few mods to that one.
Welcome. :onya:

I know that dealer, they're about 20min from me. Went in there once to try to buy some boots, no one bothered to even acknowledge we were there. I personally I found their service lacking. Nice bike though. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Sadly that is repeated in so many stealerships I have visited over the years. When you do find good service and they maintain it I keep going back. It's called loyalty and it goes both ways. :whistling: :whistling:
Welcome..
How is the bike being transported?

How is the bike being transported?
By a bike specific transport company, but being on the other side of the country it's taking 5 weeks. 😒
Youll be right Mate, they do a great job, done it three times. If its the Tas company, Carolyn the boss, she has a 14 with 300 th ks on it.

That's a long time. General freight across Aus takes 5-7 days. They must be consolidating the freight to make the trip cost effective. As long as they strap it down correctly, all good.
Welcome fella

Yeah it is a long time for sure, I asked why and just told it is what it is. It doesn't get picked up until 20/7/2022. I'm guessing it will go via South Australia then Vitoria, NSW and then Brisbane. Hervey Bay is then another 4.5 to 5 hours north and it won't go until a Truck is heading up that way. The good thing is they only carry bikes and have enclosed semi trailers set up properly to carry them.
Welcome
Nice Bike, welcome.
