Any recommendations on front discs and/or supplier in the UK?
Think I've got to the bottom of an issue I was having and looks like I'm needing discs.
Cheers
Graeme
We run EBC prolite's on all out 14's they are better quality than standard and have so far lasted twice as long (30k miles)without any problems with 1000's of more miles to go yet
El-cheapeo 'zone' discs for me, they worked better after left in the garage to weather for a few years but now stop fine & don't appear to wear much.
Cheers. I'll have a look online tonight.
Hopefully I won't need to sell a kidney to fund them.
Is this what I'm looking for ?
Prices vary hugely ....

That's them and look at total price some will be cheaper untill postage is added so down to you and go for a retailer who's in this country rather than the other side of the world 🤔
I concur with
@seth purchase from your region
My wave discs are S2 out of Melbourne braking performance is much better combined with braided lines & softer pads 👍👍
I ended up changing rear to wave to keep some symmetry 😁
I didnt know I had EBC's on the front untill a couple of weeks ago...🤣
Are spec savers doing any deals at the minute?
I messaged to ask if they were in stock and if these were the correct part as after googling the part No in the advert (MD3083) everything came up as a rear disc 🤔
No response but the ad now says out of stock 🤷🏼♂️
Demon Tweeks has them for £119 just now tho

If you have EBC disks DO NOT try to spin the bobbins, they sit in a square hole so will not spin.
New discs came today 😊
Hadn't ordered new pads tho as the ones on the bike have probably only done 500mls, just read the packaging on the discs and it says new pads are a MUST with new discs 😪
Need to wait another few days before I can fit them then.
If only 500 miles on pads then, providing the old discs hadn't chewed them up in any way, I'd simply reuse them
Look OK??
Personally, I'd use those. They may take a few miles to bed in, but so do new pads.
Perfect 👌
Just good to hear someone else say the same thing. I'll get them all fitted then
Discs & braided lines fitted and tested on my 30mile work journey tonight.
FINALLY got rid of that horrible "bounce" at low speed.

I know it's an old school thing to do but if you're fitting used pads to new discs, you can assist the bed in process by "facing" the pads.
Turn them friction side down on some smooth concrete (or a large sheet of 400 wet and dry if you have someone else who can hold the edges down!), then complete multiple "figure of 8" movements holding the pad. Turn it 90-180 degrees occasionally to ensure it's wearing flat. Repeat process until all old score marks are removed from the pad. Repeat for all pads.Clean them. Fit them. Use them.
@grog may verify if this is still an acceptable method to use?
Agree Mate. Not often new rotors fitted with used pads, quite often with just a disc machine. A bit of a wipe on concrete works well. 👍 Thats car stuff im talking about. Bike pads would be the same.
Yep, if they were grooved / rutted I'd do that, no prob. Get 'em flat n you're all good
Back when cars had points, even bikes did, flatten on smooth concrete was a great option.
Off topic but hey, once tuning old gt750, adjusting points/timing. Had spanner on crank bolt just turning over to each set of points. Hadn't turned ignition off. Wow, how far can a spanner fly when motor starts. A bloody long way. Just remembered that one. :happy1:

Hahaha-would've loved to be there to see that!
