I currently have an immaculate pair of Staintunes fitted to my K2, running without baffles. They look good, sound great, and are period correct.
However, I'm somewhat tempted to fit something with more bark.
The options I'm considering are:-
1. PipeWerx Stainless Steel round (street legal)
2. Delkevic 350mm round Stainless Steel
They both seem appropriately noisy (I probably prefer the look of the PipeWerx a little more tbh), and seem to have similar reviews as far as build quality and customer satisfaction goes.
Has anyone used or experienced either?
No experience with those pair. Last week i did listen to a Busa with dual Yoshis. Shorties with carbon look. Its sound was just unreal, burbled along and barked when he got up it. One of the best sounding bikes ive heard. Might be wrong but maybe Yoshis have a deeper sound than others. Certainly the case with mine compared to two others i have. Tri Oval also increased mid range, noticed straight away after fitting. Bit off topic but 😎
I have twin Staintunes on another bike. I do like the fact they are well made, look OK, aren't annoyingly loud etc, but I'm not in love with the sound either. I has several Yoshi cans / Yoshi full systems on other bikes and they make a deeper, more purposeful sound. I previously had Yoshi Tri Oval (Jap not US) cans on another bike that I liked. I should have kept them.
If you can live without the twin pipe "wheelbarrow" look ;) the 4 into 1 Yoshimura Cyclone system works well and has a lovely howl to it.
I have titanium Yoshi headers and collector with locally made Pipemasters stainless steel muffler good sound & plenty of back pressure 👍
My bike was never run with OE exhaust system it's been collecting dust at home for 21 years lol 😂
I've used pipewerx and the quality is very good, they also make hawk pipes which are exactly the same but without the X cut out in the tail pipe but they cost about 20% less. They both come with a lifetime warranty.

Hey mate,
Would you remember what style the PipeWerx were that you used, and how noisy they were?

I actually used a hawk pipe, it is made by pipewerx in the same factory/workshop. The only difference is the end cap where the pipewerx has a X cut out, the hawk just has a hole. It does not make too much extra noise with the baffle in and has a decent bark with it out. Here is the hawk on my Tiger Sport.

Hey Grog,
What about the tri-ovals provided the mid range boost? Shape, design or length compared to your previous muffler (s)?
Had a Yoshi Tri Oval on when I bought the bike. Can't compare with others but I like it
Fastie, diff wasnt huge but just i could notice. Tri Oval sound is way deeper. Leo Vince is round 350mm. Bris Exhaust is oval 450mm, Tri Oval 450mm. All 3 very good but i prefer Yoshi, looks, power and sound.

Thanks for that.
My Staintunes are 450mm, so I wanted to go something shorter and louder, without sounding too much like a Commodore driving P plater.
As for power, slip ons are only going to provide a slight gain regardless I feel. Hopefully the shorter length won't change the characteristics too much, although I suspect I can afford to give away a little bit of torque if that's the compromise.
Doubt youll notice a difference. If its running sweet, it still will.
