Queensland Budget, they have allocated $762,000,000 income from motor vehicle infringements fines up $232,000,000 from the current year. Possibly the new mobile phone/seat belt detection cameras contributing
No wonder they're so prolific with speed cameras as well because they're concerned for our safety 🤞😈
LOL It's all about safety that's why they park them in the bushes and got rid of the sign's... :furious:
What's more interesting is how many unpaid fines there are from Parliamentary vehicles because they cannot determine who was driving. Seems to me the vehicle is allocated to a person and that person is responsible for the tickets unless they can prove someone else was driving, just as they do with privately owned vehicles.
Apparently it's inappropriate for politicians to be responsible like they expect you to be.
New Zealand is heading down this massively increase the traffic fines path as a deterrent. So many here causing road carnage don't give a shit, they have stolen the car, the cops are not allowed to chase them then the scum hit a tree or other roading furniture split the vehicle in two and kill the occupants. First thing looked at is did the coppers chase them then becoming a factor that may have caused the crash.
Only the good guys pay the fines handed out because they sniveled along just over the now reduced speed limit.
Always remember lawmakers are only doing their best to keep us safe....or as they so often preach it's for our own safety.
As you say Batty that's why they hide. Recently noticed the marked cop car set up just down the road from the camera van. That works well to reduce speed too !!
Back road from my place often had camera van on 70 k road. Heaps of bikes thru there on weekends, lots of revenue. Went along there Sunday, council have installed multiple guide posts, wont now get ther van into their spot. I guess theyll just find a new location.
I'm sure there is a shadowy world wide plan to remove our freedom to travel & own anything. The endless war on the motorist like this has no other reasonable cause.
It's just a tax Hooli.
$400.00 for a track day is cheap :onya:
No surprise...

I'm lucky in that I don't ride in the peak target hours or locations, but I'll still be a bit cautious.
Cruise control everywhere 👍👍
I see they've reduced a whole lot of speed limits to coincide with heftier fines 💩💰💰💰
They aren't even denying it, bloody Nazis 🖕🖕🖕🖕

They dropped the speed limits at a few of the bike hot spots, Mt Glorious, Mt Mee etc. It'd be interesting to see a comparison of before and after, crashes and lives saved v tickets given and revenue generated.
Cruise control ... 👍
They won't provide data for that as it won't support their argument.
They are using what I think was Hitmers strategy.
Make the lie a big one, repeat it often, and the masses will come to beleive it.
Make the lie a big one and if you don't agree you are a spreader of Misinformation or a Racist. Someone from the government will tell you which applies.
Dont all politicians of every level adjust the truth to suit the situation. I wouldny know, just not interested. Im only interested in serious subjects, which bike tyre is best, which golf ball is best, milk or hot water first in coffee. Just the really serious stuff that affects me.

which golf ball is best,
Any ball you haven't just sliced into the rough, a bunker or a water trap.

milk or hot water first in coffee.
Doesn't matter a damn.
On the other hand, if it was tea... still doesn't matter a damn.
Hope that helps
Lies!
If it's tea, it's water first with a slice of lemon. No milk required.
Doesnt worry me, i hate tea, even the smell. Wife is same with coffee. Makes life easy, choose whatever brand we want.

Well said.
My wife has a couple of friends that are VERY political. It's always the main subject of conversation. They know every MP and their standing on every topic, they follow politics like some folk follow MotoGP or the Footie. I refuse to go to dinner of social events with them. I don't need that in my ear all night.
The older I get the less interest in which clown is lying to me currently. It's not as if there's a good or bad choice, just alternative con men.
There's a lot of things I'm passionate about but politics isn't one of them.
I'm quite offended that you should refer to a tyre as black in this day and age.
Don't be so insensitive, have some compassion, the tyre didn't have a choice what colour it was. Next you'll be making fun of it because it's bald !!
don't you go calling it round either, you will be strung up for fat-shaming it... :rofl2: :stir:
