My headlight kept lowering itself. Adjuster bolt screws into square block, supposed to lock screw where you set it. Mine lost its grip.Vibration kept undoing it. Today fitted 5 mm self locking nut behind square block. Adjusted height, cant see it moving again. 8 mm ring spanner on nut, 8 mm socket on bolt head.

Mine does that mate....had its MOT last week...headlight beam was practically on the front mudguard..I've had to readjust a couple of times now..defo gonna do your mod on it.
Cheers grog :onya:
Yes, it must be a common problem, I think it came up on my last two or three MOTs.
Fortunately the mechanics deal with it and then point out that they have done me a favour.
I'll have a look at what you have suggested, there's not much night riding on the GSX these days so I'm never aware when it starts to droop.

Must be an age related thing, I'm always aware of when things start to droop, night or day

So glad i could help someone with drooping, fixing myself is another story.

did the 21st century led upgrade thingy, no droop for me.
Good mod Grog, the little plastic locking washer tends to strip out pretty easily.
