Just got a set of upgraded conrods wondering how much more power they'll give me
Ahh variable compression, I believe they smooth the power curve out & stop 14s being so nasty & peaky in their delivery.
Should spring into action now
Try them out on Emmas' first . . .
That's obviously a high performance mod I've never seen before :stir: :stir: :stir: :whatever:
Misread the title, I thought it said turning mod and you'd PX'd the bike for a Lambretta :embarrassed:
I heard the hot tip was to use an airbag in the spring and you can boost horsepower on the fly by adjusting air pressure, not sure if it's true ? Somone on here wil know !

100% correct Horse. :onya: the airbag pressure is increased by a variable rate dial attached to the handlebars. As pressure rises it increases the compression ratio which in turn signals the ECU to add octane boost to the fuel rail, giving significant boost in rwh. I've heard of some guys getting 130 - 132 on the dyno through this inexpensive mod. Why fit a turbo when this is available and much less expensive.
The local shop here fitting these systems is called Backyard Butchers, have a google . . .

Thought I was on the "Landrover repair and maintain forum" for a minute....
The other version with progressive spring much better, absorbs the firing strokes, hardly know the motor is running. A bit harder to start, always need a can of compression handy.
