Title: speedo change from KPH to MPH
Post by: Iant on Monday, 23 May 2022, 02:08 AM
Hi all, first post here. Has any one found a way to convert speedo to MPH from KPH.
The bike is fitted with a converter but find the dial spacing to small.
I was thinking about removing converter and fitting remade dial in MPH, i understand that the odometer would read incorrect but at its age and mileage not too bothered about that.
Any ideas  ???

On ebay i saw white repro dails in KPH for 25 euro

https://www.ebay.nl/itm/125137376112?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=1346-175129-2357-0&ssspo=AwLQsvPqTKq&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=Bz83dM4eQme&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Maybe they can also supply a MPH version ?

Failing that.. i have a double scale you can have / swap

Your plan sounds right. I think the needle sweep stays the same so changing the background works. It the needles move together in 3rd then they are the same.

You can get ugly chavvy white dials in MPH easy enough. Or maybe someone who's fitted white ones might sell you their black ones.
