Title: Flu Season (Australia, NZ)
Post by: VladTepes on Friday, 20 May 2022, 08:56 AM
Lots of focus on CV19 but don't forget it's flu season.

Get ya jabs.  :)

Queensland: A surge in influenza cases in the state has prompted doctors to issue a vaccine warning for children and vulnerable groups. Since the start of April 2022, 457 people with influenza have been admitted to public hospitals in the state, including 30 people who have required intensive care. (ABC News)

Nah, I haven't done vaccines since I left high school. There some other drugs I don't mind doing.

Did mine recently. I have a new Doc here and he's a bit "different".  Sri Lankan Indian, super skinny, funny bloke, I was getting my regular 6 month medical and the conversation went...
"You had a flu jab"
No.
"Want one?"
Yeah.
Jab, job done, about as quick as it took to read that!

Must do, not allowed into my Mums home without proof of flu jab. Last two years got sick a few days from it.

Aye Monkey Pox has been in the news slightly here too. As a 'plague mk2' it doesn't seem to be working for Project Fear.

If you remind yourself to use the same protocols to protect against Covid you shouldn't get the FLU. I called Covid WUFLU and those I know who've had it that weren't vaxxed had a tough time, those who received VAX said it was similar to a bad FLU. Just my two cents worth  :onya:

Can we PLEASE not make this a vax vs anti-vax thread etc.
I was just posting for awareness.

Thanks,
