Its funny how a change of bikes has changed my attitude, out last week, hacked it down all day, bike minging and thoroughly loved it. Had I still had the 14, even a hint of rain and she would have stayed in the garage. Ho hum

Had a run on my k7 2weeks ago Dave, put bike back in garage and haven't even had to clean it,was a good day up here yesterday but was busy prepping our static van over in Lincoln .thought I was going to Cadwell  park on bike today but it hasn't stopped raining all day,any how it's not all bad ,I've spent a full day in garage today polishing and cleaning ',  it's not so much the rain it's the crud that comes with it .

This is what I woke up to this morning!- thank gawd for 4X4 - I was able to get to the ship.

This is the 4th dump we've had this year! Old Man Winter is still not done with us!

Roll on April - then the rains start but at least I can hunker down behind the windscreen of the GS - for now its on Standby in the garage keeping the 'C' company.

Stan

Yes - and No. when I was still working the 14 was a hobby for sunny weekends. Now I've retired I much more want a "go anywhere, do anything, whenever you want" bike which is what the Explorer does, its more rugged in that respect.

The limitations of the 14 came home to me last year when riding the Wild Atlantic Way - bless the 14 she did everything I asked of her, but an adventure style bike would have taken the riding and some of the more obscure places we got to so much more in her stride - which was part of the reason I went that route when swapping bikes.

Been pretty lucky here, missed all the storms, snow and really bad weather and had a good few dry days out on the bike, still cold though.
