Any buddy now where to get a cheap quote ? Am currentley with mce and want to change had to go with them last year as price was right ,problems making insurance dear are 3 points for no l plates ,only past bike test 18months ago i now have a 1 year no claims bonus .ive had some proper high quotes that i cant afford mce will insure it for 280 fully comp but mce have the worlds worst reputation
Where are you mate? Aus or uk ?
Uk
i just renewed with mce
£123 fully comp
Thanks seth but have you read the reviews on mce they hate to pay out if you need to claim. google reviews are shocking and ive had friends try to claim and got iver nothing or no where nere what they insured it for ..but at moment its looking like i have no choice but to renew with mce but am hunting about i have 3 weeks left before my current mce policy runs out
i did get carol nash down to £145 after loads of arguments with them but i really dont like them as a company at all .
a few of my friends have had nothing but grief from them and the breakdown cover .
and 1 friend was going to be charged nearly all his premium to cancel his policy after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
I've been with mce for 3 years now but hadn't needed to claim from them but happy with dealing with them so far .
i think since insurance became a market rather than a service they all much the same as each other .
Yer caral nash wanted if i remember right 480 for me with my points new ish licence holder etc there all robbing c***s looks like mce or lexham for me lexham want 218 but thats 3rd fire andtheft not fully comp but am not to botherd as long as i got theft cover and keeps the police off me
where in the uk are you mark ?
a couple of years ago i got a fantastic price of £100 fully comp at the scottish bike show in Edinburgh from mce.
its on next weekend if that helps tho i wont make it this year.
could be a big saving if you can get there .
Bit far from me am in torquay devon thanks for that thow am proberley going to stay with mce and just hope i never need to claim 600 excess ! luckley i have a council garage with locks on reducing the chance of theft .i had one realy bad quote from insure wise of 9644 pound no joke i no we ride 1400cc bikes but where they get that figure from i told then no bloody chance
ok try phoning mce and asking for the show discount they will be offering next week

Just reinsured mine, was with mce, now bennetts, £86.00 fully comp!
Have you tried compare the meerkats (compare the market), they will give a couple of options to look at.
Solved the merkats sorted it going with bennets 125 pound fire n theft bit dearer than mce for fire n theft but proberley safer mce google user reviews are shocking and had friends with mce all say dont touch mce ok til you make a claim then problems any one considering mce should google mce and read the reviews so you no what you are getting ..not saying dont go with mce just saying read the reviews

Hi Mark,
my philosophy is Insurance is like placing a covering bet, if I can save £50 a year that mounts up and I win, If I make a claim I may lose but play the percentage game :onya:
so cheapest everytime for me
Red
Me as well cheapest every time, only had 1 claim so far about 5 years ago when some dozy bint pulled across me on a roundabout and she had to pay for that.
I used to have that attitude to insurance then i had a brand new husqvarna on rd dirt bike stolen few years ago lucky i had fully comp with a good company they paid for another brand new bike .then unfortunatley i had a crash 5weeks after i got the new replacement my own fault . low and behold the insurance bought me another brand new husqvana could not belive my luck so now i all ways think what if
I learned painfully if a brand new vehicle is stolen inside first 12 months you get full value!
I had a warrior pick up stolen at 13 months and lost £7k!!! Would have been cheaper to rent one for a Year!
:furious: yes red that is a shit way for them to take money off you wan*&^&^kers :jack:
Insurance companies make money by not paying out..... I wrecked my trailer recently. They valued it at $500. I made a song and dance about it and demanded to see the valuation. The valuation said a 6x4 trailer.... mine was 9x5. They have many ways to shorten up their payout. I finally got $1200.
Insurance is a thing we all need.
But it just feels like we are being rorted !!
A good few years go I wrote off my A class, the insurance said no problem and offered me £5k. I threw a shitty with them and asked to see how they came to that figure so they sent me a breakdown. A short wheelbase classic manual valued at £5k, mine was a long wheelbase Avantguard auto. They stumped up £6750. It's always a good idea to check on these twats.
