Only a tiny thing, always been same, never usually worries but does sometimes. Throttle has a few mm of sideways movement. Anyone ever found cure or worried about fixing it? Obviously just a couple of shims required, was thinking just a correct size E clip could just slip in to cure. Any clues? Pedantic old me
I had this problem, and thought I'd end up not noticing but once you notice it's the most annoying thing.
So the problem I had was the bar ends I was using with my Renthals, they have a rubber section that compresses as you tighten the bolt and fixes it in the end of the handlebar. When you get to the final tightening the bar end moves out slightly leaving a bigger gap between the bar end and throttle, tried all sorts but couldn't stop that movement as it's tightened.
My solution was to change to R&G bar ends that have a don't have the rubber bung and tighten where you want them to be. :hat:
Thanks Dusty, you nailed it. Some days never worries, other days drives me crazy. Those plastic spacers needed for me, cant find them. Ill give the E clip a go, 23 mm i think needed.
I have the same but doesn't worry me, I find the throttle does not return to its stop as guick or smooth if I close the gap. At least I don't notice it when riding.
