Post by: coolmalc on Saturday, 04 March 2017, 06:41 AM
has anybody got any views on this? ive ran 2 bikes for a few years now but paid 2 premiums now they are saying my no claims can only be used on one policy.  I understand this is the norm but as my insurance for both bikes is with hastings  I don't understand why I don't get two lots of ncb. any help would be great
                      cheers

I think that might be a Hastings thing - I had no problem with 3 bikes on one policy with Carole Nash. eBike also (I think) do multi bikes on one policy. So with one policy you only need one ncb  :onya:

With a multibike policy your NCD is for all bikes but if you take another separate policy on another bike that one stars with no NCD, as it can only be valid for 1 policy.  I have 3 bikes on 1 policy with full NCD and a separate policy for 1 bike but that started at 0, I have built up a full NCD on it now though.

I think most do, I have used ebike, bennetts and carole nash.  Evry year I go onto compare the meerkats and start from there, hardly ever accept the renewal as most companies set targets for new customers, I have even let it laps and then rang as a new customer and got a better price.
