You northern blokes cold, were having a hot humid spell. Not even fun bike riding with gear on. Today, car sitting outside all day, inside temp 67c/152f. Couldnt hardly hold steering wheel. At least tonight cooler, 21c/70f. Beautiful with ceiling fan on. A/C not needed.
Those are insane temps! High 20s is enough to make me feel ill with the heat.
February is normally our warmest month plus with El Nino loads of humidity. It was 24 deg at 5am this morning. Max 34C around 1pm :furious:
And in USA https://www.nytimes.com/live/2022/01/29/us/snow-winter-storm Bloody Global Warming :whistling: Where's Greta (How dare you)
I couldn't sleep in that. The reason I only spent one day in Croatia on my 14 years ago was that it was 22c at night. I didn't sleep at all & knew it'd get hotter going south so I rode north again.
Nice at Buffy
36 here yesterday and 20% humidity, too hot to walk on the driveway barefoot. Was changing the thermostat in my daughters car in the driveway, sweating like a horse. Drank about 10l of water then a couple of beers. Last week was bearable, 30s or so and 15 at night.
At least Perth humidity levels are low, I don't mind dry heat it's the humidity that's the killer.
Bloody freezing here in perth think it was 6°c max today

Seth, we couldn't spell the Aboriginal names so borrowed yours.
Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane are all second hand names from over there.
Likely to be 35 here today with usual high-ish humidity.
Yes the aircon is one and my electricity bill hates me.
46deg on dash of my Mack f....ng muggy 🥵🥵🥵
46 degrees! Fark that, hope your air con works good in that truck!
Sure was a warm one, not much cooler tonight and same again tomorrow. Just 🥵too hot.
Yep gonna be 26 tonight and 35 tomorrow and rainy. Apparently.
I had to laugh when the power grid guy said people are "over-consuming". :frustrated:
How's that for spin on "inadequate supply" :jack:
Vlad, hows that they put two generators in for maintenance just b4 a hot spell. WE pay taxes for these fuckwits.

Nothing can keep up with these temperatures Col it's the extreme end of our highest & will only last a couple of days 🙏
We've already had a few thunderstorms tonight not predicted 🧐🧐🧐 I wonder how the forecasters keep their jobs 🤔
If nothing else it's good for weight loss 👍👍
There's no doubt that climate is changing although I'm not 100% convinced that it is all down to human activity - geology shows that the planet has gone through warm and cold cycles during its existance.
In Britain we don't seem to have had a winter in the proper sense this year - OK it means I'm more inclined to go for a run on a bike with tempratures around 8-10c but I miss those bright clear frosty mornings, it has just seemed plain dull for the last three months.
As for weather forecasters, I sometimes think they would struggle to predict when their lunchtime would be...
-33°C in northern Finland today, here in south only -12°C. :whistling:

How is the handling of a GSX with snow chains fitted?
5 years ago I rode home from work (16 km) in 2-3" snow. It was horrible with Michelin 3:s.
There was only one "S" Mercedes I had to overtake

I once got caught in snow in the Pyrenees and was not expecting it in Spain in June - scared me to daeth
Yeah lets do maintenance during known peak demand time of year.
Geniuses.
