Good morning/afternoon/evening
I had 2 cylinder head bolts snap on me this morning which I will be dealing with soon, and when I looked at the standard bolts they seem a bit thin in the middle by most standards even though I know they don't need much torque (37nm if I remember right)
It got me thinking some thicker ones wouldn't go amiss, does anyone know of any decent aftermarket items that would fit or if the bolts off other models fit the same? There's a lot of chrome-moly bolts advertised on Suzuki Performance Spare's website in Wisbech which look like they could fit from other Suzukis is why I ask.

Cylinder head bolts or exhaust bolts ?
Never heard of a problem with cylinder head bolts in 20 years but exhaust bolts on gsx's as well as other modern bike (Not just Suzuki's) Are common.
Have a read through the forum or go to a search as this is well documented here with a few options on how to resolve them .

They just looked a bit suspect seen as 2 of them snapped and they thin out like I said, the ones in a zx12 I'm building are uniform thickness all the way down and they took a fair bit of oomph to undo and didn't snap. I'll take your word for it being a rare problem though, after crankcase and head comes back from being helicoiled I'll stick plenty of nickelslip in the threads just to be on the safe side in future.
Just be aware that when you use nickelslip or any other thread lube, you can't use the same torque value for dry or oiled threads, as the friction coefficient is different, and you will end up overtorqueing them and possibly stripping out the threads or snapping them again
