A couple of pics that say it all really.
I detest the whole carbon myth. It's an obvious lie, the hype & myths around it are not proven science in any way. Real climate damage is being ignored, such as strip mining to make those damn batteries that can't be put out when they catch fire etc.
It's disgusting no government has stood up too it, but they are all drunk on power & love to destroy normal people's lives while telling them it's for their own good. If people weren't too lazy to think for themselves then no one would stand for it.
Don't even get me started on this subject :furious:
IT'S ALL A F*CKING CON :furious: :furious:
Carbon trading and taxation fixes climate change.
"How dare you" think otherwise.
That's why the leader of our Green party went along with fourteen of his officials to the climate change summit in Scotland instead of attending via Zoom. Bloody hypocrite !!
I can only assume they swam there using their hemp flippers.
Climate change is real only just the other day I was talking to a dinosaur but he died because granny had been burning coal to keep warm.
Now waste is a different matter, that's what really grinds my gears.
@Kiwifruit I'll just drop this here while we're discussing the climate meeting in Scotland...
You know how windfarms are paid to not produce electric?
Well the one that was the official supplier to COP26 got paid for not producing due to lack of wind and for producing more than the grid could take when it's windy, to the tune of £500k during the con-ference.
Now that's annoying.
Hooli why would that be so, whats to be gained from doing that ??
It's the only way to make wind farms viable.
The reason for paying for excess they can't use is down to the connection to the grid being too small to carry it all.
Most of the wind farms in the UK are non productive most of the time too..Total f*cking waste of money :furious:
Our politicians produce so much methane we had to plant sheep farms in pine trees so we can trade the carbon credits to offset their production of bullshit.
NZ can be carbon neutral, we are all singing out to pay much more carbon tax :worshippy:
Climate change. Id like to write my views, just take me too much time. My solar panels save me money👍My petrol cars, bike, mower, snipper do their job. My re chargeable phone, rattle gun, ratchet, blower, pruner, tablet, phone bank, shaver. They also work perfect. Am i saving the planet, dont care, just want stuff that works. The Tesla story about generators needed, just shows up the crap they dish out. No electric bikes for me. Now should i choose 91 or 98 for next fill. 😂
I saw a program about our largest power station which burns tons of biomass (wood chips) fuel a day which it imports from North America and Canada but it is carbon neutral. That's because it's burning American and Canadian wood so the carbon produced is not British so it goes against them. I thought it was the burning of the wood which released carbon not cutting it down. They are having a fuckin laugh at our expense, bastards. :furious:
Next biggest con to that of De Beers convincing women that they need to have a piece of compressed charcoal that costs 3 months salary to show that you love them...
Climate Change? Bah Humbug. Did anyone tell that volcano in Indonesia that it was not being green?
When Mt St Helen's erupted it spewed the equivalent pollution to that of the entire industrial revolution to present day in one go.
I recently wrote this in one of the newsletters I produce for the marine industry ........As WE wait for the next deluge (referring to the floods here in BC) and in the wake of the great doom-laden enviro-fest in Glasgow, it's all due to "to global warming"! And the most learned Suzuki is threatening to blow-up pipelines, while the 'intellectuals' continue to sniff each other's backsides in the hope of determining the flavour of the month and who's in heat! No apologies for being cynical!
Volcanic eruptions are a classic case of nature having its way......and man had best not stand in its path.
Two years this week since White Island just off the Bay of Plenty coast here erupted tragically killing so many sightseers.
The Welsh Government want to close the last coal mine ,. the only one in Europe that produces a quality coal used by a huge steel works in South Wales - coal is not PC anymore - the steelworks employs some 6000 people directly and indirectly . so they close the mine and the steel works which produces 25% of Co2 solution in Wales remains and they will import their coal from Oz or India . - the same government bought an airport and pumped £55 Million pounds to support it during covid-The same government fined a farmer £15,000 for planting trees on his own land in the wrong place-the same government that is going to give everyone in Wales a tree to plant - the same government that now refuses to build any new roads.FFS
F.....ng Politicians - oh and they want to double the numbers of the government because they cant cope - another £25,000,000
Rant over
Ditto here Notty - Our Phuckwit PM is a joke and the government - if you can call it that! - is a bunch of incompetent fudge packing tree hugging greenies
Our PM likes him !! Birds of a feather fly together.
Yes Notty we export high quality coal but have never imported more crap coal from Indonesia I think......to power the electric cars and bicycles.
Cycle ways are the thing of the future, traffic congestion aided by new pedestrian traffic lights is what they are working on now in the hope of blindsided us into getting out of our cars.
That's my last post on this subject I'm showing my pissed off side here on a bike forum......its a lovely day.
That was a good and valid rant
@Notty Drakeford is an old doddering incompetent idiot :furious:
He killed off Circuit of Wales in the Rhondda and the M4 Newport bypass :furious: :furious:
Col, the thing with these cycle lanes etc is, where are they? On the road, yeah? now who pays for the road? motorists in cars, trucks & bikes, we all pay for the roads in the huge tax take the government rakes in. So the motorist paid for these cycleways! We get 'less' road now than we had before & the cyclists get a FREE section of road! They don't pay to use the road, same as EV's they don't pay to use the road either! We motorists are just getting ripped.
Notty, good rant! How do these assholes get into power? Surely there must be someone better there to govern. Could be worse I suppose, imagine if you had Gretta there as PM! Mass exodus from Wales!
I enjoy the occasional cycle as some mild fitness & to enjoy the great outdoors 👍
I own 4 motor vehicles & pay 4 registrations including road levy 😁
I think I'm contributing 🧐

I don't know about NZ but in Australia the "Carriageway, Cycleway and Footpath" combined constitute the "Road". If there is no Cycleway, well a push bike has a carriage so it belongs on the Carriageway. I don't ride push bikes (I have managed a fleet of push bikes though) but have no qualms paying for Cycle lanes to seperate them from traffic that wants to move faster. I don't have children either but I don't mind my taxes being spent to educate other peoples children (except private schools).
Gentlemen, those of you who are cyclists, how much have you paid directly (as a cyclist) to cycle on the roads?
My only wish for cyclists is some sort of ID, makes them accountable.Red light cameras would get a few.
I bought a lovely mountain type bike before I departed Oz about 5 years ago, it has disc brakes, suspension and about 16 forward gears and I think 4 reverse.
Never had it out but my son stole it and brought it back with flat spots on the tyres, he told me it was a brilliant bike, I went off my head at him put it back in the shed with a paddock on it.
It hasn't been used since ( I think), just remembered he has the keys.

Has it really been 5 years ?????????????? :stir: :stir: :stir: :stir:
Bloody hard to cycle with a paddock attached to it :whistling:
@GSXKING It's almost 4 years and probably won't be back for another 4.
@Kiwifruit The paddock has a lock on it.
I was waiting for paddock pick up
