At present in NZ you can have two subsidised riding courses a year. Having done this course three times previously I hope to learn something new, I have each time in the past. It's with the same instructor that was one of the two instructing us at the last track day. Best I give the scoota a bit of a birthday. The weather is warming up and it's still wearing the dirt of late winter. Always rides nicer when she's clean.
Roll on Sunday :boogie2:

Yes sounds like fun Chris. Think I'd have a go on a different bike, maybe on a ratty 750 or 600. No speed camera's either. I'm waiting on a family portrait to turn up after our wander around the Coromandel recently.
91 in a 80km = $80 ...... yet gangs get to speed but with a Police escort, how does that work ??
It pissed down today, the day of our course. Been a good day to learn about riding in the rain. Moving your weight around on the bike to keep it more upright, relax and above all be smooth.
Unfortunately one of the other guys dropped his Moto Guzzi Griso at low speed. Poor bugger we all felt really sorry for him. He was OK but his bike got some scrapes. You'd like it Vlad, sounded good.
I reminded myself that the steel expansion joints on a bridge are very slippery. Another bloke did a little grass tracking and was lucky not to go down. Guy on a Z1000 broke his clutch cable that put a dampener on his ride home.
Instructor Kev was great value, good sense of humour, good knowledge. Had some good stories.
For me it was nice to finish the day without any drama.
Hot shower, dry clothes, happy deal.
Sounds like you got your moneys worth then Col :onya: :onya: :clapping: :clapping:
Yes I do love those Grisos - especially in that colour scheme. Did he cry when he dropped it? I would!
He was pretty upset, poor bugger, just gave it a bit of a grazing. Sounded horrible grating to a stop.
He has been recovering from a stroke that affected his right side. He's had four, first when he was 22 guess he's 50ish now. Docs said his riding days were over. He was a bit embarrassed but we all applauded him for his will to overcome adversity. He got back on it and didn't miss a beat for the rest of the day. We were doing brake drills in the rain and he got a bit of throttle with a lot of front brake weaving through cones and it low sided.
Never thought I'd like the look of a green bike with a brown seat. Nice exhaust note too.
Bloke around here has V65 Guzzi. Reckon ive seen him 30yrs on same bike. Reckon same jacket n helmet also. Dont know him at all, must be reliable. Sounds good.
