Title: Abba Sky Lift
Post by: Benny65 on Friday, 17 September 2021, 07:04 AM
Just trying to find out if the Abba Sky Lift is a suitable maintenance lift for a GSX1400?  has anyone got one and any review comments would be useful.
Thanks in advance  :hat:

I guess it would be ok as long as it'll take the weight of a GSX1400. My ordinary Abba stand did ok. The main drawback is that because it locates on the swingarm pivot, you can't remove the swingarm while using it.

You've actually reminded me that as I no longer have a bike I need to get my Abba stand advertised and sell it...Thanks :onya:

I once looked at ABBA. If you dont tighten/space bolts to exact specs, it falls apart. That was enough to scare me away. Id want foolproof to be lifting bike up.

Not sure - but just doesn't look right - go for a proper lift!

Thanks for the input, I have had some concerns on it but have not ruled it out. I have also looked at some similar to yours.

My lift have no problem with GSX1400 weight. And have no problem when I lift bike to maximum and sit on it.

Having had another look at the advert, it even says ABBA on the side of the stand. Got to be worth a punt. As you said Steve, you can always return it if it's not up to standard.

Keep us updated :onya:

With free delivery, I can't imagine they will send it Fedex, more likely a slow boat from you know where

Hi Benny, I've got one mate and I like it. Had a good play with one at the NEC bike show before buying. I also use it to store the bike off the ground over the winter.

Cheers

Wills
