Title: Greetings from the land down under.
Post by: Eskevar on Monday, 02 August 2021, 08:28 PM
Hi all,

Name in Cameron, I have two 1400's currently, one is stock, the other is being prepped as a race bike, only just starting on the journey to modify her, so a long way to go yet.

Have had the Blue and White bike since new, the Silver has sort of just become part of the collection as my father no longer rides it and it has found a permanent home in my garage.

I live on the Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland, great place to live usually (lock down has tarnished that for the moment) I live in the in hinterland behind the coast and am surrounded by mountains, oh what a shame.

Happy to chat and or catch up with others in the area, I do not ride either bike currently, I have turned to dark side and my usual ride is a 2014 R1200GS Adventure.

I am keen to start a post on the race bike build and would love to hear from anyone that may have done similar before, or that is looking to do something along those lines.

Cheers for now.

G'Day Cameron welcome to the nuthouse. Maybe post some current pics of your bikes (all of them). I have a K2 and two RT1200R BMWS.  :onya:

Hey Chris,

I have the two 14's, a 93 GSXR1100 and the R1200.

I will dig through and find some pics, most lately are of the BMW, I fitted Denali lights to her a little while ago, lots of dollars but well worth it.

Welcome Cameron, nice part of the world.

Which one are you turning into a race bike? Obviously the silver one as it's already in primer.

The b&w one is already a race bike, doesn't need any more go fast bits....

We have an all year riding season and no creatures that can kill us and we don't catch fire for months on end.  :whistling:

When British Airways arrived in Australia and shuts down the engines we can still hear whining !
