Hi Fellow Bikers..
As time goes on and my existance on other forums increases, I realize more and more that this forum really is a special place..
Every time i come back here after weeks away, it just feels like home!
Like I have an affinity with all of you..
Whether you be in Australia, New Zealand or the UK (or anywhere else in the world) I feel a kinship with you all...
To be honest I never really feel as close on other forums!
I dont know if the GSX1400 attracts a cedrtain type of kinship, or we are just plain lucky to be in this bit of the digital world..
Either way its been a pleasure to share my time and space with my mates out there..
So I must just say a big thank you to you all for putting up with me for so long..
My deepest respect to you all,
Simon (Speedy).
That's very nice Simon. :onya: I concur, the forum & it's worldwide members has created a special kinship among us. It is like home, bit of banter & fun & lots of help.
Cheers All! :boogie:
You meet the nicest people on a gsx1400... even if they look like a cb1300 :stir:
I am on no other forum aside from this one. Speedy l agree with your sentiment, l like the vibe here, mature motorcyclists bound by one common interest. We are tolerant of other breeds and welcome learning of experiences others have with them. More than a few returning to the fold after the shiney lure of a different make and model has lost its Lustre. Others still gracing us with their presence and participation in the forum after their 14 has passed to a new owner.
So let's hope that when we are able to travel again we can cross oceans shake hands and have a beer and a yarn with our 1400 forum friends scattered around the planet.
Cheers ya all
I also concur - I'm on a number of other forums both car and motorcycle, and none even compare with this one. I have also had the pleasure of meeting some of the guys down under on here in both Australia and New Zealand and its just like one big (worldwide) family, I still find it very strange how just one type of motorcycle has been so influential and created so much camerarderie.
I agree, I'm only on this and one other forum, this one is special and always the first one I check.
Feels like home.
My only forum, just a bit worried about putting my first post up😂. Yeah, i like it here, brilliant info, comments etc.So many super clever people. No nastiness, a big plus. Was reading Moto GP comments last week, the stuff they post, keyboard warriors, just terrible. Id like to be on the Ferrari forum, just cant find the bucks.
I agree
This place has attracted the best of people .
The members here are willing to help each other (even if it's s different make of bike or even if it's not a bike related problem)
I joined Facebook last year (a thing I said I'd never do but anyway I'm there)
I see so many rude folk who don't care about each other .
It's always so refreshing coming back to the org It's like coming home .
Well done to to all involved in the running of here bug even more so well done to all the members for making this the place it is , without them it just wouldn't be the same and probably more like everywhere else (that would be a bad thing)
Onwards and upwards let's keep building the org and finding the list folk who look to Facebook for help and bringing them home to the org
I am a member of four bike forums and this on is by far the best for the banter, technical information and general helpfulness. The moderators are not as anal as some of the other sites and will let things slide a bit.
Everyone seems like good people and don't take too much offence at the level of banter (except for some of the Auzies :whistling: )

Hey, settle, only South Aussies. I'm ex Melbourne (mexcan" south of the border) now a true sandgroper as they like to call us in the west. Better than being a banana bender I guess.... :stir:
Settle down Eric. Us Banana Benders a proud lot. We put up with so many Mexicans. This is Australia, thats where were from. Not Yankee side kicks or second class Poms. I borrowed those words , thanks JW.
100% agree with all of the above
In summary
Brill forum - wealth of information
Brill people - helpful, friendly & great banter
Brill bike - does it all with a rocket up its arse

I still havent got over the name you give yourself on here..
I was totally shocked when we met in Scotland...
You could not be more "Unblubbery"..
Not only that you are a decent guy..

Can't agree more about this forum. Everyone helps out and you can ask anything technical without being made to feel stupid.
Everyone is friendly and there is some great banter. It's definitely the best bike forum I have ever been on and I've been of a few. Also, love the fact as others have said you can get help and advice on any bike which is great when you own more than one.
Can't imagine this would ever happen here but I have recently joined the Norton Owners Club and posted on the forum about becoming the new owner of a Commando Mk3 Interstate. Yes I got a good few nice comments and welcomes with one guy asking me for a bit more information on the bike which I answered. He then sent me a very lengthy PM in which he went on to tell me I had bought a pile of junk which would no doubt explode at any moment. He said he was sorry to be the bearer of such bad news but I needed to know. The culprit of my misfortune was Norman White the engineer who rebuilt my bikes engine. The guy apparently has no axe to grind but assures me Norman is a complete bodger and fits inferior parts in his rebuilds and he has personally fixed countless bikes that Norman has messed up. I thanked him for the heads up and told him I will bring the bike straight to him if I survive the explosion.

Well personally I think you're all a bunch of twats :stir: :whistling:

You need to work on your pick up lines.
You a scaring the people away
Big Phil, just keep riding. Could go forever. Just because some unknown had a say, forget him, looks good, you like it, all that matters.
Not bothered at all by the Blokes comments Grog. I think it's funny actually because Norman White who built my engine is a Norton Legend and one of the most respected motorcycle engineers alive today. The fact that he personally rebuilt my engine was a massive plus for me when choosing to buy the bike. I was just making the point what a friendly forum ours is and how every other site always seems to have some disgruntled person like this who's either a "know it all" or some other type of complete knob!

That statement pretty much sums up FB.
