Title: Gear Shaft Dis-engagement
Post by: Daveoz31 on Monday, 10 May 2021, 05:50 PM
Hi

I have changed my leaking gear shaft seal after many months of putting it off .

only to dislodge something behind the clutch basket   , so off came the basket and now I need to know where the spring sits anyone have photos of where it supposed to sit?

TIA

All good :)  I think I have fixed it, :boogie: so if you change your gear shaft seal DO NOT let the SHAFT SLIP as it will dislodge the spring.

Now to order a gasket reassemble...

This any good? it's from https://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/shop/online-store/suzuki-parts-finder/gsx/gsx1400/k2-k3-k4-k5-k6-k7-2002-2007.htm?vehicle_id=29#!gsx1400gearshifting

There might be something in the workshop manual too, but I've not looked there as meant to be working. I think you can download the manual from the downloads section of this site.

Looks like it @grog
I think we had another poster recently with the same question? I'm sure I've posted that screenshot before.
