Title: Quiet
Post by: grog on Friday, 07 May 2021, 06:55 PM
Two weeks now riding with Tri Oval, baffle removed. Like a different bike, so quiet. Coming home tonight cant hear exhaust, ear plugs in, last can was much louder, aiways loved its note. Bike is much gruntier mid range, Wife says she cant hear me coming home. B4 was for a whole k. Looks good, goes better, ill get used to it.

It's good it goes better, but you have to have a note.
Next you'll tell us they mistook you for the Postie on his stepthru.  :rofl2:

This story reminds me of my old Bandit`12. Had an early ART can fitted (no baffle) and it sounded awesome. Every year I reluctantly took it off for the MOT and re-fitted the original (mega heavy) standard can. The latter made the bike as quiet (and boring) as any small machine, but it did provide more mid-range and a smoother power delivery. However, I couldn`t wait to get home and get the ART back on, gave the bike character, not to mention more top end.
