Likely as not, the best S1 & S2 in the world....beautiful is an understatement, and totally accurate.
My old H1B in good company too.....
Love the triples!
My mates H2B, my H2B and mates H1E at Broadford.

Can`t see the Pic? :bugga:
black14 - Awesome. An H1 with an original rear mudguard/fender fitted is super-rare too, they are worth a fortune as most got binned back in the day! :onya:

As the start of the restoration of my H1E is imminent ( as soon as this work bullshit ceases) these images are great as i want to get it as close to stock as possible , one thing of note is the seat on the 500 does not seem to have the chrome strip on the base which mine does, as i will be getting the seat recovered do you know if the strip was stock on that year model ? I also never thought about putting the rear fender back on , as i still have it, but it looks half reasonable all these years later so i will get it re chromed with the rest of the brightwork , thanks for the post , Excellent
Yeah DP - that H1 is a very original Aus delivered bike - all paint etc. factory. Thinking about it, probably an H1F, but very little different to the H1E that I can recall.
The H2Bs are both US imports - so had no rear guard from factory. Mates restored with Higgspeed chambers, mine unrestored apart from some fairly ordinary paint on the tins.
Nothing quite like the sound of a triple singing it's song!
Hi Horse - I'll check re. the chrome strip - not sure. Most web images seem to show it so maybe that was missing...
I remember having much fun on my 'K' plate 350 back in the 80's. I attended some of the Nottingham rallies too

The chrome seat trim was standard across the range on all models. Interestingly, the US seats had no grab strap, the UK models did. Yes folks, apart from the paint, the H1E/F were the same. The `D` was different, and of course, the KH was a poor performer compared to all the other H1`s!
Had a nice Kwaka triple go past when l was out mowing the verge at the weekend. Don't see many on the road here these days.

DP 1400 Thanks for that i thought it would be a weird detail to change but who knows what goes through manufactures/ designers heads sometimes, once i procure a rh upper muffler i will have everything i need to start a resto ( minus the time)
Sounds like you're doing a thorough resto job, in which case there are a handfull of differences between the E & F which you need to be aware of. My comment above that they were the same was meant in broad terms.
Feel welcome to pm me and i'll be happy to give you the details.
I hope your resto goes well mate.
DP 1400 thanks for that will definitely get in touch when I'm getting In to full swing still gathering some bits at the moment
