Jamesons Irish Whiskey is a good drop for sure. very nice. Is there a particular one you'd recommend as a good balance between beautiful and affordable?
Do you like a peaty / smoky whisky / whiskey at all?
If so, Connemara Peated Irish Whiskey'
Maybe you should branch out a bit, though. Single malts are the way to go. (at least with Scotch Whisky)
I want a scotch I'll grab whatever I have usually Glenfiddich or Glenmorangie.
For a peated drop it's generally Laphroaig or Talisker.
If I'm at a decent pub I'll try someone fancier, but I can't afford to buy expensive bottles.
Happy Birthday Stan! 70 & still riding well , you're an inspiration to us young un's still in our sixties. :onya: :clapping:
Happy birthday Stan, hope I'm still riding at 70.

Thanks Guys!
I did the Scottish Highland Whisky tour on the 14 a few years back and visited Glenfiddich or Glenmorangie distilleries along with many others - it was an expensive tour but my appreciation of the amber nectar was defo one to repeat. I also became a certified Jameson taster! during the Irish blat! I have stuck with that for a few years now but as not prone to hangovers I have to watch myself. She gets upset when I take a nap until 2 am! The TV and all the lights are off and my 'final' sort is still in the glass!! Its nice waking up at 8-9 am and not having to trek to a ship. I think I can get quite used to retirement! :boogie2:
