Daughters car broken few weeks back. Not a problem, take ours. All good. Then the unpaid toll road fees roll into mail box. Never thought of that happening. Got me again.
:rofl2: :rofl2:
Been there done that - daughter's eh
@grog :whistling:
And you complain about a couple of little toll road fees even after she returned it full of gas :whistling:
My daughter collected road toll fines on her visit to Australia - she ignored the summons and then had an arrest warrant should she return - Mum and Dad paid of course :)
Traffic fines......the reason l left Australia back in the 80's.
@Kiwifruit are you wanted on warrants ???????????? :confused1: :confused1: :confused1:
Most likely he is. Not me, I always paid the road tolls or avoided it
I guess not now as l got in and out of Melbourne a couple of years ago.......have to admit l was sweating.
In 82 was up in North Queensland somewhere, a massive downhill then up the other side, good road, clear all but one car going in the same direction as l and nearing the bottom of the dip. I had that wire tight, the XJ750 was singing in top gear. Must have been doing 180 ish when l figured out ....... it a farkin Police car !!
He pulled over onto the edge of the road as l glided past with the brakes still on, I really thought l was in deep shite.
He didn't pull me up till about 10kms later and gave me a ticket for 80 in a 30 through some road works.
I hang my head in shame......there were many others. So a plane ticket was the cheapest option
:facepalm: :facepalm:
Good story Kiwi. Maybe you and Hooli(gan) can swap names.
LOl Col, bit different now though isn't it.
