Can I ask what the benefits of such a piece of kit is ..
Billet alloy blocks, which fit between shock and swingarm, raising the ride height by approx 30mm and allowing the bike to steer and turn in much quicker, thus sharpening the handling. Also particularly attractive when used with rear undertray as the rear end is lifted giving a more aggressive look. Kit is supplied with instructions and fittings.
this is the write up from the bandit site

if this helps gsxiv :onya:
I took mine off too..I liked the riding position and quicker steering..But they made the bike too high to manouevre when parking up or moving it about with my legs.

Did you sell your jack up kit?
Yes, sold it ages ago...Sorry.
Altho I'm a bit vertically limited person I like my 35mm jackup kit - the bike handles so much better, sharper and faster. And yes, it is a tad tall but nothing you could not cope with...
Can someone enlighten me please,
I'd like to know why / how do these wee blocks make the bike handle better. I'd like to understand the physics of it.
Is it just higher sitting position thus higher center of gravity making it more 'top heavy' which makes the bike want to topple over easier? (read 'turn in better')
Do you need more chain slack using jackup blocks? I'd think you would, at a guess I'd say 35 - 50mm of slack.
Basically it changes the fork attitude, making them steeper and puts a little more weight over the front end therefore making it turn quicker, look at the forks on a trials bike and a chopper, one turns very quickly the other doesn't turn at all :whistling:
As for the chain I would say just set it to the manufacturers standard setting.
I can't remember who said it on here, but you DO need more chain slack with a jack up kit fitted.
When I fitted the JU Kit to mine the chain was too tight..Had to slacken it a bit.

Indeed you do need a tad more slack, you are absolutely correct Steve.
I have a set I can't use as they won't fit now I've had the swing arm powder coated !!
Cheers
