Title: Teabag replacement
Post by: Simonic on Monday, 25 January 2021, 01:40 AM
I'm having some (more) fuelling problems. I've got all the pump out and the teabag looks a bit grotty.
Do i recall correctly that there is someone on this forum that supplies teabags for less than the obscene 70 odd quid from ebay?
Thank You Gentlemen

Several other bikes from different manufacturers use the same part .
I think I have a Kawasaki one in my bike just now but it's exactly the same .

Im going to start keeping tea bags, every fuel pump we replace at work comes with a new one. Wash them out, good as new. I can then post to anyone on here that wants one. Worth one dollar i reckon, nothing more.

I wouldn't recommend PG tips IMO the bags have a habit of splitting, I much prefer Yorkshire  :onya:

You could use brake cleaner and compressed air, mine was clean after 5 min and it was...

I use a 500ml can of carb cleaner on each bike first part to wash the teabag and rest into high pressure filter to wash it out .
Ours are much cleaner since I added the extra inline filter to the low pressure pipe from the rear of the tank to the fuel pump .
