Before buying the 14 I wanted one of these, but they only came to my country for test riding, didn´t sell them then. Found one anyway but the guy had a last minute regret and didn´t sell. Also thought of the XJR but from what I read consumed a lot of fuel, especially the carb ones. Settled for the 14 and no regret ! But now this new 2021 CB1300, don´t know if I would change. I just miss a new chassis with a new handling nowadays. Same frame on this CB as yesteryear ?
Jey, know nothing about them. Had a big read up after your post. I like the looks of the blue one with black wheels n frame. Have all the goodies, even under seat storage 11 litres. Decent size tyres, old looking gauges, quality brakes/ suspension. 21 l tank. Road test said not good on fuel, who knows how hard he was riding. Yeah Mate, i could own one
A mate had one, was sod all between it & my 14 when ridden hard. He said the gearing felt shorter being a five speed box, but as both these & 14s have a 1-to-1 top ratio, that could be cured with sprocket changes.
I never rode it myself to really give an opinion.
Hooli, new ones have more power and 6 speed box. Look a good bike to me.
I can't recall how old the one I'm think of was, probably about 2005.
Love the blue one. Sadly seems they will only be available in Japan. They said that about the 14's back in the day though!
The old ones are always 2nd/3rd when reviewed against the 14's with the older XJR's normally taking 2nd spot. Both great bikes in my opinion though. Just goes to show what great bikes the 14's are😍
I've had a couple of these, 5 speed box a disappointment, finish is fantastic tho, 1400 is better bike
Beautiful bikes - and hats off to Honda for building a big bore `real looking` bike in recent years . I`ll bet they`re a great machine to ride and own, and the legendary Honda build quality would come as standard.

In the face of the lack of opposition, I bet they can`t build them quickly enough. Pricey though!

A bit more blue, no red,take the blue into where red starts,.Tail tidy, Bar ends with slightly lower Renthals. Very 14. Reckon i could like this bike.

Eric, agree. Just had a quick ride home, not much more, anything, i need from a bike. Dont need ABS or quick shifter. Yep, she does the job, still amazes me after lots of years. 👍
Exactly, our neighbours son has a 2018 yam 650 sports bike thingy, loud pipe, quick shifter, fairing etc, goes well. My 18 yo 1402 beats him off the line everytime, but runs out of legs at speeds where your licence and freedom is in jeopardy.
