Hi All,
As I have stated previously I love this forum and think it would be fantastic to meet some of you Guy's in person. So what about setting up a U.K. meet for 14 owners from all over the U.K. in 2021 if the fxxking virus restrictions allow.
If anyone is interested I was thinking the planned MCN show on 15-16th of May at the East of England Arena, Peterborough would be a great venue. Guy's from different areas could even arrange to meet up in groups and ride to the Arena together.
Thoughts🤔
There's normally a big meet at Skyehouse in Yorkshire every year. June or July time I think, at the Old George pub.
Venue doesn't matter to me at all Hooli. Would just like for as many 14 owners to meet up in one place on one date (or multiple places on multiple dates) Whatever works best for the majority. Personally I will find my way to "wherever" if there is enough interest.
Count me in Phil, great idea :onya:
I like the Peterborough suggestion too.
For those not fancying more than a 400mile round trip it may be an idea to have two separate meet-ups a few weeks apart. Call them what you will but a Southern meet and a Northern meet sounds logical. We did the same year on year with the Kawasaki Triples Club and it worked really well.

Pretty much what we had on the old Org, you're right it did work well.
MCR (magic carpet run) somewhere northish, it was Inchnadamph, NW Scotland one year. This has turned into the annual Sykehouse meet as it's stopped moving about these days.
SCR (southern carpet run) down south somewhere.
Most of the people who do Sykehouse are from the old Org anyway, so you'll see more 14s there. Up to you lot of course, I don't tend to bother with any of the meets.
At some point next year I'll be sorting another Scottish meet up (not just for Scottish resident's) of the org
Just need to see how things pan out and hopefully it'll be towards the end of the summer.

I might be up for that, if it's not too far. I don't want to put too many miles on my bike
Have a different route sorted for the next time around west perthshire .
@Hooli you'll be ok your bikes just about run in fully now
One such meet!
I'm up for this just need to reassemble my bike

You can almost guarantee I,ll be offshore when this gets organised , I miss "EVERYTHING " , However should the stars align, and I'm actually off, I'm 100% up for that seth :clapping:

Stroll on @Globalrider - I was at that meet !!!! (see picture)
I think I am too, but without going back though my own pics to check I'm not 100% that is one of the years I went.
I'd be interested in the Meet. Preferably National Motorbike Museum or Peterborough would suit Me, if I get bike back together
Just started a TLC mission as I've neglected her for 3 years playing with Aircooled RD400's :boogie: :boogie: :boogie:
Me too, either NMM or Peterborough as they are both decent rides out for me from where I am. :riding: :boogie2:
Well I'm going to the MCN show on 15-16th of May at the East of England Arena, Peterborough as long as it's on. If there are enough of us going then we can arrange a meet closer to the time.🤗
Sounds good to me Phil. Fingers crossed that it`ll be on. :onya:
, Dave.
I'd love to do something like that but I'm a trucker doing about 2000 miles a week so the thoughts of riding down to there just doesn't appeal to me (190 miles each way) TTT

And me back row on the left somewhere, if memory serves me correctly the April fools run the year before was at the Vic in Coalville & we out numbered the Hells Angels who were also visiting that day. 2008 & 2009 where have the years gone
Would be good to get something organised for this year, see how many 14's we can get together again in one place
I'd be up for this if I'm not working and it's easy enough for me to get to :)
Same for me. I'm happy to meet up anywhere (within reason 🤣) and it would be a blast to meet other forum members.

You're a triple owner as well ?
I`ve owned Triples since 1975, but very sadly and with much regret, I sold my last Kawa H1 & Kettle about 4 yrs ago before moving house :bugga:
I used to go to most of the `Northern` & `Southern` Triple Club meets - even won a trophy for my H1B for best original 500 on the day! I`ve got tons of photos but haven`t posted any on here for fear of being banned !
All good DP1400, post away if you wish, I'm sure there are plenty who would appreciate them. :onya:

Posting pics of kwakers in the off topic section
should would not get you banned, pics of your arse might.
Thats a bummer ;)!
Post em up DP. I'm a bit of a kwaka triplet fan :onya:
Never ridden one but got scared to death on the back of an H2.
The H2 easily broke the 100mph mark past 295 Pakuranga Road, RD350 could make it, despite my best efforts my 250 F11 geared up Kwaka trail bike would not.
Oh to be 16 again :boogie:
Yeah Mate, piccys please. Ive told b4 about my H1, what a machine.
Be good to see you blokes in the UK to hold another MCR.
The biggest issue I suppose is it's hard to plan with this covid.
I'm watching with interest - hopefully if something comes up in the UK I'll be able to participate, it all depends on dates of course.
Pete.
:hat:I`ve read that the MCN show at Peterborough has been postponed due to Covid restrictions. The revised dates are now September 4th & 5th. apparently.
Well that's got me out of jail. When I first posted about meeting on the 15th of May I completely forgot that's my supervisors (wife's) birthday😂🤣😂🤣

Schoolboy error there!
The thrill of living dangerously Phil
So how about all those interested in getting together arranging to meet up for a GSX1400 extravaganza on September 4th or 5th at the MCN show at Peterborough 🤗🤗🤗🤗
We could all meet up at stormin the castle mid September
Shit! That's quite a journey for me but Hey Ho I'm up for it. Would book an overnight stay in a hotel and then head back the next day.
I would consider that `The Northern Rally` Seth..... ;)
North of England maybe but its halfway up or down the UK.
That's why I suggested it .
If I was looking at a northern meeting and I'm thinking of later this year or next year organising another Scottish meet up somewhere as near to mid Scotland as I can (north of perth) for all who would like to attend.
You'd be most welcome I'd even buy you a beer or 2
I'm attending the GTR Owner's meet in May (as long as Ms. Sturgeon does not kill off the hotel accommodation) and we are basing at Tyndrum again. I'm really looking forward to riding those roads again.
It would be nice to take the GSX up there next year...
I've never atended any of the big shows or rallies - are they a practical place for people to find each other and get together?
A GSX only meet up somewhere followed by a short ride would be my preference - something like Matlock Bath and a ride up over the Peak Distict to Ladybower perhaps?
(Although admittedly on a busy day in Matlock Bath it could be just as hard to find half a dozen adjacent parking spaces or your fellow riders!)
Matlock was where I spent my early biking years as I was from 20 miles away .
I thought if stormin as it's big enough to have enough room to meet up and it's about halfway up the UK.
I'd be all got something up in scotland as it's easy for me to arrange something for all.
I'd be up for a run to the green welly we did that on the first Scottish meet up they a ride to oban via Glen Coe (a but wet on the day though)
😎

Its a good point - rallies are easy meets, but parking up together and trying to find anyone at a big show is damn near impossible. You could be stood by your bike all day without seeing anyone else - especially not knowing exactly who you're looking for!! We used to ride to shows together, but that was easy as we were all from the same town.
A possible way forward could be to arrange a meet outside a show at a specified pub and time for a chin-wag over a pint, then those who want into the show can go, others do whatever. Most local bike meets are held in pubs up and down the country.......worth a thought i suppose.
