First of all, let me thank you for the information and tips I've already gleaned from this forum...whenever I google 'how to.......gsx1400' you guys invariably pop up with the right answer. So I thought it time I joined and maybe add my two cents...although, I doubt very much I could add anything you guys don't already know.
I got my license late in life at 33 and now at 47 I still don't ride much but when I do, I love it.
I have a 2007 with 47k and is long over due for a fork oil change. I'll be attempting that over the coming days with the help of the manual and the info I've seen on here.
Not many of our big beasts left in the world...especially in Oz. If you've been waved at by a car driver, that was probably me! Lol
Gidday Phil & welcome to the forum. Glad you joined us. Lots of black on your bike, :onya: wonder if it belonged to Red at some stage . . . :whistling:
G'Day Phil and welcome to the nuthouse. I see you've got a fast one also :onya: :onya: :onya:
Welcome Mate. Lovely bike. If i had a choice B/W K7 my buy, forgot, thats whats in the shed😂
Thanks for the warm welcome gentlemen👍
I did the black myself not long ago...cheap mod to feel like I have a new bike...but I made sure I left some blue and white to keep the speed up 😎
I'm hoping the fork oil/seals will make it feel a bit newer too. It feels unstable in corners but that's probably mostly down to my poor technique.
I'm doing it without a special fork tool...just using a rattle gun and a 'stick' lol, I'll let you know how it goes.
Welcome - Croeso :)
Welcome Phil,
Good to have another member nearby. I'm only a few kilometres from Glenhaven just to the south east.
My K5 is also blue and white. Don't do enough kms as I ride an older Suzuki as well. The VJMC has a coffee run to Mt White every second Sunday. You can pm me if your interested.
Hi Phil, there is another member up that way known on here as Sweaty but I believe he is going to Kawasaki.
Welcome to the forum Phil. :onya:

Welcome along Phil ....nice looking bike
Thanks again for more warm welcomes to the forum! Good to see a few brothers from my homeland of Blighty...although I consider myself Aussie (not that Aussie's would...I'll always be a Pom)now as I've lived here for most of my adult life.
Good on ya mate! :onya: Home is where ya hang yer hat.
