Title: Advice Please - High Cold start RPM
Post by: marty6187 on Thursday, 23 February 2017, 07:29 AM
On cold starting my K3 ticks over at around 3-4,000 rpm while on choke, seems high to me !! Goes down to a normal idle when warm no problem.

Any thoughts anyone ?

when you say goes down to normal idle - what have you got that set at? Should be around 1100rpm, any higher could give higher cold idling.

Idles at 1000-1100 rpm as you suggest.

Thanks for your reply   :onya:

First off I'd check your TPS, check it's in range

Also check the last line of "Synchronising your Throttle Valves".
