Title: Suzuki.... If you build it.... I would buy it..
Post by: BlueDragon on Sunday, 29 November 2020, 04:37 PM
Stumbled onto this today.

I was a bit "ho-hum" with the "modern" version of the Katana.

But this rendition by an artist, I really like.  If Suzuki brought this into production - I would be saving up to buy one....

Obviously not to everyone's taste, dare say many members here would prefer it without the headlight fairing.  I think it would look good both with and without the fairing.

Gosh - the tank, fairing, seat and panels could have been lifted straight from the 80's GS1000S - I'd have one any day, loved my old GS1000S

Seen this before think it's by kardesign as a concept
The back seat plastic look a little to small and as ever I'd say it needs twin shocks .
But other than that it's fantastic .
It would sell in big numbers if it was put into production.
Look at other new but old looking bikes (z900) they are selling well for other manufacturers.
Suzuki need to pull thier fingers out now they are motogp world Champions

I don't mind the single shock, or the fairing, must be an age thing,as long as it doesn't have a pissant little tank like they all seem to be doing nowadays

Like it, no fairing for me. Just wish modern bikes had nice looking motors, they dont. Agree about tiny tanks, first thing i look at. Mates MT10, chews 98, hes selling due to no range. Its ridiculous.

I like the look of it. YES, I'd buy one.

A friend of mine in the UK just bought this beauty. It's being imported from Canada.

I don't like fairings but I do like that and if they produced it especially with a 1200 or 1300 engine I would have one as long as the tank had a decent amount of fuel.

A mate of mine still has his GS1000E from brand new 1980, and it's immaculate, don't think I have a pic of it or I'd put it up.

Now why can't they make the new "old" katana engine look as cool as that on the GS1000....

I do like the look of the concept bike. However it's actually too close to the ORIGINAL for my liking. I'm not bagging it, but would feel happier with a more chunky look similar to our beloved GSX1400, with a large capacity high torque motor  :onya: :onya:

Now youre really dreaming GSX. Why would they do something that is actually good. Triumph can do it, Suzuki should learn. Even Honda trying to make motors look good. Not really working but they try.
