It is with mixed emotions that I now own a beautiful example of a GSX1400 with only 16000 kms. Dad can no longer ride his bike due to ailing health. So I have become it's custodian. Brakes and clutch rebuilt and bled two oil changes with 1000kms between to flush. Still to do plugs and TPS settings. It's been polished with a three stage method I use and she's just about ready to stretch it's legs. (//)
Gidday Jace, welcome to the forum. The bike sure looks great. :onya: Just another thing to check (since she's not been ridden much) is the age of the tires. If they're 7 years or older, they get a bit 'wooden' and new tires are recommended.
:welcome1:
To all things 1402
Sad your dad can't ride any more .
Can you ride it ?
Hopefully someone can help you move it to a new home if not.
Good luck
Welcome - Croeso :)
Welcome Jace - nice looking `14. Despite the circumstances of recent ownership, enjoy :onya:
Welcome along Jace. At least your Dad can still be part of having the bike about. He certainly kept it nice. It will treat you well, enjoy.
Tyres have been done I just replaced the Bridgestone on it with the same. I've been riding since I was 4 so that parts not the problem but getting my eye in again is. It's been about 10 years since selling my triumph sprint rs and have definitely lost the urge to ride like a young man.
Ride to enjoy, not to impress. Be assured, your `14 will impress wherever you go, regardless of how quickly you got there :onya:.
Welcome to the forum Jace. :onya:
