Title: Ohlins Classic RWU forks
Post by: Donatello on Thursday, 08 October 2020, 03:44 AM
Since I like myself a bit of bikeporn I scroll to the instagrams and interwebs a lot searching for muscle and classic bikes. The japanese are really into converting the older bikes into things of beauty by putting the best suspension, braking and wheels on Katana's, EFE's and ZXR's (a lot!! the japanese love their ZXR it seems). One thing I haven't seen yet is a GSX1400 with Ohlins classic RWU forks. I checked the specs and the inner fork is 43mm while the GSX oem fork is 46mm. Would it look weird by putting a slightly smaller diameter fork into the GSX? I'm also open to other alternatives if someone know any, and no I won't put an USD fork into my GSX :P I like to remain the classic look and in my opinion if the bike has twin shocks in the rear then the front should have an RWU fork.

You might want to give Maxton a look, they can make you a set of forks and they are just a good if not better than Ohlins.
