Hi, Meant to ask about this before but it slipped my mind. My K2 standard indicators bleep when in use quite loudly. I can certainly hear them with my helmet on at low speed (30mph or thereabouts in 4th gear). Is this a modification by the previous owner or standard? Gotta say it's a really useful reminder to cancel them at times but probably useless when and if I change from the OEM silencers. Never come across this on a bike before.
I reckon something has been added. Postie bikes and some others ive heard with loud beeping indicators. Im always aware of turning them off, forget sometimes.
No sound on mine & I can hear the GPS & Radar Detector.
Definitely not standard.
I will investigate what's been added. Quite intrigued really as I personally wouldn't of even given a 2nd thought of adding bleeping indicators to a bike. I do find it useful though.
I had a Kawasaki Meanstreak from new in 2003 - noticed the indicators kept going off, kept ,meaning to tell the dealer but some 3 years on realised they were self cancelling !! :bugga: often thought of getting a beep fitted cos I do forget to cancel them sometimes but guess could get irritating
Absolutely non-standard!
Sounds like a mod by the previous owner, and if so, have a look around for an extra wire or two behind the headlight, maybe, or beneath the seat, or straight from the switch more likely??
Just follow the beep....
Yamaha have the best system, no beeps just good self cancelling indicators my 1983 XJ900 have them work brilliant and the RD400 has them as well.
Agree Irish, worked well on old Yam i had. Beep will most likely from flasher relay. Seen them for sale.
check bulbs some have beepers built in somehow - may just be that.
