Title: Newbie
Post by: Duncan on Monday, 17 August 2020, 12:23 AM
Hi, newbie here. I'm from the north east of England and I'm thinking of buying my first gsx14. I'm riding a zzr14 at the moment but I want something that's a bit more upright. I've always admired the looks of the gsx14, but I've never tried one. Just wondering if the bike is suitable for someone who is 6ff1. I know any size can ride any bike, but wondering if it's still comfortable if you are a taller rider. Any thoughts would be much appreciated 👍

Welcome to the forum Duncan,  :onya: I think we have a number of short arses here who can help, 6'1" pah!  :whistling:
I would say that the seat is a little squishy for me at over 6'3" but I am all arms and legs.

Hi Duncan,
6'1" is my exact height. My bike is completely standard and very comfortable at legal speeds. I went from an RSV1000R that was killing my wrists to the 14 earlier this year and not regretted it for a second. Only thing I would say is high speed into a head wind can be tough on your neck muscles but otherwise it's a joy to ride and handles way better than people give them credit for.

6,4 here and fat, hated it until I Redid the seat higher and with hard foam, extra height and not squishing the original foam down to a wafer gave 4 inches of extra leg room and now love it, have been doing 2 hour round trips and don't elven notice the seat now

To all things 1402
The seat might be a little soft if it's done a few miles .
The bike isn't cramped so should give you lots of leg room .
